Travancore Hub Meet 2017 aims to enhance the technical and managerial skills of students invoking creativity and innovation. These skills strengthen our human resource capabilities that can make us a leader in the 21stcentury, where mankind gives paramount importance to knowledge which is backed up by technology. By providing a platform for interaction, learning and networking we aim to inculcate such a mind-set which is very valuable in today's context where technology is constantly in a flux.

1. Vehicle overhauling

 

An overhauled engine is an engine which has been removed, disassembled (torn down), cleaned, inspected, and repaired as necessary and tested using factory service manual approved procedures. The procedure generally involves honing, new piston rings, bearings, gaskets, oil seals.

 

The theory session will be handled by Faculty from The Mechanical Engineering Department of Sree

Chithra Thirunal College of Engineering: Mr. Kamal Krishna R, Mr.Rajesh S.P and Mr.Rinu Sathyan.

 

 

This session contains following engineering sections:

 

● Vehicle conceptualization

● Vehicle Integration Engineering

● Vehicle Overhauling

● Component Familiarity

● Advance Technologies

Eligibility

 

No prerequisites. This is a beginner level workshop, No prior experience needed.

 

Students of all years and any branch can participate.

 

2. Workshop on Big Data Analysis

 

Big data analytics is the process of examining large and varied data sets to uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful information that can help organizations make more-informed business decisions. It is an emerging field that has an exponential growth for job opportunities.

 

Trainer: Ms. Irene Susan Mathew

 

 

Big data is a popular term used to describe the exponential growth and availability of data, both

structured and unstructured. And big data may be as important to business – and society – as the

Internet has become.

 

This is a Job Oriented Course for beginners with no knowledge in the field. This is a basic class on Big

Data Analytics. Main focus will be on the theoretical and programming aspect of Big Data Analytics.

There will be hands on sessions as well.


Requirements for participants

 

This is an individual workshop. Each participant should bring a laptop.

3. Game Development| Game Development using Unity Workshop

 

Due to constant rise of the video game industry, the demand for game developers is increasing at a steadfast rate. The Game Development Workshop will impart participants with the knowledge of the tools and techniques needed for design and development of games. This intensive two-day workshop will explore the day-to-day craft of game design through hands-on activities, group discussion, analysis, and critique. The training focus is to enable participants to develop interactive games using JavaScript and C# with the help of live projects

4. Home Automation and IoT

 

Home automation or is building automation for the home. It involves the control and automation of lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and security, as well as home appliances such as washer/ dryers, ovens or refrigerators/ freezers. Wi-Fi is often used for remote monitoring and control. Home devices, when remotely monitored and controlled via the Internet, are an important constituent of the Internet of Things.
