B-Tech Admission 2019
There are three categories of seats and a seat can be secured in any one of the following categories. The categories are:
1. Seats under Govt. Quota
2. Seats under Management Quota
3. Seats under NRI Quota
Seats under Govt. Quota
For the academic year 2019-20, 50% of the total seats in Marian Engineering College will be filled by the commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) from the list prepared by the CEE on the basis of merit and in accordance with reservation principles followed by the Government. To get admission in the Govt. Quota, the student has to qualify the entrance examination (KEAM 2019) , should have 50% marks in Maths and an aggregate of 50% marks in Maths,Physics and Chemistry and can apply online according to govt procedures and prefer Marian Engineering College as your choice of institution. The college code for CEE Allotment is MCE.
Seats under Management Quota
The 50% seats other than the Govt. Quota Seats will be filled up by the management according to the merit. Of this 50%, 15% of the total seats will be filled from the Non Resident Indian (NRI) category.
a) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent there to with an aggregate of 45% marks in Maths,Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade.
b) Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Exam, KEAM 2019, conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala.
Preparation of Merit list and Allotment of Seats
Subject to any orders that may be passed by the Courts, admission will be on the basis of merit only by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the state Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/equivalent in the qualifying examination. The marks will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50.

Merit list for the different categories will be published in the college website/college notice boards. Selection will strictly be in the order of merit. Selected candidates will not be intimated by post and they are advised to refer to the website/ college notice board and appear for the interview and final selection without fail.
Seats under NRI Quota
To get admission in NRI quota, even though the student is disqualified in Kerala Entrance Exam, he is eligible to apply if he has high marks in the +2 exam (a minimum of 45% in the total of Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry put together). The student with his parents has to meet the Manager and confirm his NRI seat. Once the admission is confirmed then the student cannot change branch or college. NRI Fee is not refundable. There should be a NRI sponsor (parent or close relative) for the student. NRI Fee and number of seats are subject to govt. approval.
