Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group Cell(SEDG)
The priciple of inclusive growth and qual justice is upheld by the Constituion of India. In alignment with this, the UGC has established a strong framework for supporting Socio-Economically Disadvantaged groups(SEDG). In complaince with these guidelines, the college has constitued an SEDG Cell.
As an Institution committed to social service, the SEDG Cell aims to promote inclusive education and ensure that all students receive equal oppourtunities.The Cell is dedicated to upholding the dignity and well-being of every member belonging to th SEDG community.
Functions of SEDG Cell:
- Conduct bridge cources to improve student's proficiency in mathematics and programming skills.
- Organize remedial classes to support regular class room learning.
- Provide coaching for external competitive examinations.
- Promote "Earn While You Learn" initiatives through NGO and CSR activities.
- Offer fee waivers and concessions to eligible students.
- Provide couselling and psychological support.
- Sensitize faculty and students about SEDG-related issues.
- Review, monitor and ensure timely redressal of grievances within 15 days.
